Bug Pool

www.nobodyhere.com The Bug Pool foundation has been founded to realize the independent project Bug Pool. Bug Pool stemmed from the insect forum NobodyHere?.com, which itself grew out of the graduation project of ‘Jogchem Niemandsverdriet’. On this site, which is growing for five years on a row now and which won a Webby Award, the visitor is straying through the head of the shy Jogchem Niemandsverdriet. Visitors can leave their comment on every page. NobodyHere? was used as a meeting point to report extraordinary sites (own work including), share experiences, and chat endlessly. Apart from a meeting point Bug Pool has also become a platform on which people can simply build and maintain sites together. With the help of Digitale Pioniers Bug Pool had to become a diverse and lively community in which the experiment plays a central role

Final products

The Bug Pool foundation has been founded to realize the independent project Bug Pool. With the help of Digitale Pioniers Bug Pool had to become a diverse and lively community in which the experiment plays a central role.

Impact

The separate possibilities of Bug Pool are available everywhere: weblogs, forums, chat, mail, ftp and domain hosting. However, nowhere are they bundled in an accessible platform, directed towards encounter, cooperation, and task dividing. At the same time it is a grand experiment in collective designing, where unexpected forms and cooperations grow out of a structured exchange of images, scripts, and, to a lesser degree, sound.
