Indymedia Nederland [2001] is part of the international Indymedia network, and was allowed since it's foundation to use the server van Freeteam.

Freeteam is a informal cooperation network of media activists and offers room for websites who are under pressure in other parts of the world. Fot instance the Kurdic press office Özgürlük and www.contrast.org. Next to that they offer room to organisations who want to stream audio. This will soon be expanded by room for free software developpers, mainly in the area of open source streaming projects.

Final products

The contribution of Digital Pionieers to Indymedia and Freeteam is an exception to other projects. With this the old servers of Indymedia network and Freeteam can be replaced. In this way it is possible to expand and fysically split the server of Freeteam and Indymedia. Freeteam can now devellop into a streaming media server for indepant media activists and the server of Indymedia van serve as a mirror for other Indymedias.
