known search engines are commercial party’s and have as their main goal to urn
as much money possible. They work with large databases, and because of that,
those databases are vulnerable. Besides that, users have no view at which way
de engine comes to the given results and what they will do with the
confidential information given by the user.
Final Products
Open Search
made a new and alternative database to fight the given problems. The database
works with a peer to peer solution, without central database, at which
information is made more easily anonym. Queries will be processed anonym by
which no central file will be kept from who is looking for what or who. At
December 12
th Open Search organised a first workshop with Michel
Bauwens and Joris van Hoboken. Open Search is a project by Koen Martens and
