At the beginning of September 2005 the new www.outloud.tv was launched. A new design is implemented, as well as an improved interaction, a forum function, an interactive metabase, and management functions for clip makers. Outloud is both stage and community. The members of this community award points to the sent-in videos and comment on the videoclips. The interaction between web community and media makers indirectly constitutes the fully democratic editorial office of Outloud.tv.
On the website Outloud also refers to the open source components that were used for the project.
Impact
This project was especially directed towards the technological improvement of Outloud and the improvements of the already existing surroundings. The project stimulated interest from other parties in other Dutch cities and even in New York. The Outloud website collects videoclips and constitutes a group of people with the same interest. The Melkweg uses this growing cohesion to program theme nights.
This project was executed between March 2004 and March 2005.
