Since 2005 visitors of Ecomare can make a PDA-hike through the dunes at which they get location bound information about the nature over there. For example: when you walk past by a certain plant some information about this plant pops up on your PDA. Ecomare wants to expand this software with an interactive spread map of various plant and animal species, at which visitors can contribute as well.

Final Products

With help of Digital Pioneers user-friendly software will be developed for PDA and Internet with which plant and animal species in a certain area can be inventorised and plotted on a map. Visitors who did observations with a simple determination table on their PDA, can upload their data to the website. At this site a map will be built with the spread data. De software will be made accessible for other Nature Parks.
