Frits Spijkers is an active teacher in mathematics. Apart from teaching he also develops, together with others, new methods of teaching. Maths is fun, but the way it is taught in class doesn’t always tickle the imagination. On www.wiskundeweb.nl teachers can find material, hints and tools for teaching maths in a funny and even exciting way. Frits built the site in his spare time, but for the expansion of the site he needed a professional builder. With the help of Digital Pioniers the site has been further extended and professionalized.

Impact

The website is mainly visited by secondary school students, but also by people who are interested in the ins and outs of the subject. The website is directed towards an audience as broad as possible. Maths is everywhere. Without knowing everybody comes across maths every day.
